The winners of the Gamescom Awards 2024 have been announced. On Friday, August 23, the annual Gamescom awards were awarded in 14 categories at the Gamescom Studio powered by IGN. The event also featured special awards, such as the “HEART OF GAMING Award,” which honored the role of video games in promoting democracy, and the “Sustainability Award,” given to Tencent for its efforts in sustainable gaming practicesTencent received their award on Tuesday evening as part of the Gamescom Opening Night Live event.
Monster Hunter Wilds emerged as the top winner at Gamescom 2024. The spectacular monster hunt was named the most epic and entertaining game, as well as the best Sony PlayStation game. The trailer for Capcom’s action-packed hunting experience pleased both the jury and the audience.
Little Nightmares 3 by Bandai Namco was selected Best Microsoft Xbox Game due to its exceptional graphic and audio quality. 11bit Studios won two prizes for Frostpunk 2 (best gameplay) and Creatures of Ava (games for impact). Tavern Talk by German developer Gentle Troll was named the Most Wholesome Game.
