REDMAGIC Nova Gaming Tablet Coming September 27th

REDMAGIC Nova

REDMAGIC released the Nova Tablet in China on September 5 and have promised global availability later this month. Like the company’s latest gaming phone, the flagship tablet is powered by a Qualcomm 8 Gen 3 CPU. The REDMAGIC Nova features a 10.9-inch 2.8K LCD screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio, making it ideal for gaming.

These features, along with accurate color settings and up to 472 nits brightness, should improve the gaming and viewing experience. The REDMAGIC tablet will allow users to adjust their screen ratio manually, up to a 32:9 ratio, which should enhance the field of view in competitive games. It has an aluminum body that’s fingerprint-resistant and lighter than expected, offering a good balance between size, weight, and graphics.

Historically, gaming tablets have struggled with weight and form factor, causing discomfort for gamers. However, external peripherals like controllers are changing how gaming tablets are used. Powered by a 3.4 GHz CPU, 1 GHz GPU, LPDDR5x memory, and UFS 4.0 storage, it delivers smooth gameplay and fast load times. The tablet includes AI functions like AI Trigger, which detects images in real time and automates actions, and should further enhance gameplay.

The device comes in three storage configurations, with options up to 24GB RAM and 1TB of storage. It also comes with advanced cooling via a 9-layer passive system and a 20,000 RPM fan. It packs a 10,100mAh battery with bypass charging to reduce heat and charge cycles during gaming. Pricing and retail availablity for Europe will be announced on September 27, 2024.
