Logitech has unveiled its latest innovation in the gaming hardware sector, the Logitech G Pro X 60 wireless gaming keyboard. This new product aims to meet the demands of professional gamers and esports athletes by offering advanced features in a compact form factor.
The Logitech G Pro X 60 gaming keyboard is designed with a 60% layout, making it smaller and more portable than traditional keyboards. Despite its compact size, it does not compromise on functionality. One of the standout features of this keyboard is the KEYCONTROL technology, which allows users to customize each key with up to 15 different functions. This high level of customization is enabled through Logitech’s GHUB software, providing gamers with a tailored experience that suits their unique playing styles and needs.
Professional esports athletes were heavily involved in the development of the Pro X 60, contributing insights that helped shape its design. This collaboration ensured that the keyboard meets the rigorous standards required for competitive play. Brent Barry, Head of Esports and PRO Series at Logitech G, emphasized the importance of this collaboration, noting that the keyboard’s design is a result of extensive feedback and testing with pro gamers.
Another key feature of the Pro X 60 is its LIGHTSPEED wireless technology. This proprietary technology offers a connection that is as fast as wired, ensuring minimal input lag—a critical factor in competitive gaming. LIGHTSPEED is designed to be robust and reliable, even in environments with significant radio frequency interference, such as esports tournaments. The keyboard also supports Bluetooth and USB wired connections, providing flexibility for different gaming setups.
The Pro X 60 uses GX Optical switches, which offer faster actuation than traditional mechanical switches. These switches operate through the use of light, providing instant signal transmission and eliminating the debounce delay required by mechanical switches. This technology ensures that every keystroke is registered with high precision and speed, which is essential for fast-paced gaming.
In addition to its performance features, the Pro X 60 includes dual-shot PBT keycaps, which are known for their durability and resistance to wear. The keyboard also features LIGHTSYNC RGB lighting, allowing for extensive lighting customization. Users can create and save onboard lighting profiles, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality. Other notable features include a game mode switch, a volume roller, and media controls, all designed to provide a seamless gaming experience.
The Pro X 60 is available in three colors: Black, White, and Pink. It comes with a semi-hard carrying case, making it easy to transport for gamers on the go. The keyboard is available from major retailers later this month.
